Overview

 

Planetary ball mill is an efficient and precise laboratory grade powder preparation equipment, mainly used for material crushing, mixing, dispersion, and preparation of nanomaterials. Its core structure includes planetary disks, ball milling tanks (semi-circular or circular), grinding balls, drive systems, and safety devices. The equipment achieves efficient grinding of materials through the combined motion of planetary gear revolution and rotation, combined with high-energy impact and friction. The design of the semi-circular ball milling jar further optimizes space utilization and grinding efficiency, making it suitable for small-scale, high-precision experimental needs.

 

Working Principle

 

Planetary motion mechanism: The turntable drives the ball mill jar to revolve around the main axis, while the jar itself rotates at high speed, forming a composite centrifugal force field.

Grinding function: The grinding ball inside the tank collides with the material at high speed under centrifugal force, generating shear, impact, and friction, achieving crushing and mixing.

Parameter control: By adjusting the speed (such as 200-800 rpm), grinding time, and ball to material ratio, the particle size of the finished product can be precisely controlled.
